When I went to China a few years ago, I had a countdown for more than 100 days before I left. I was almost unbearably excited. Part of that was because I didn't like my life in Allendale very much, and I wanted to get away. But because I anticipated it so much, I went to China with a lot of expectations, most of which were not justified. I had no idea what I was getting into, but I didn't seem to understand that.
This time, I know that I haven't the slightest clue what my life is going to be like, and that is the most exciting thing of all for me. I can't wait to find out!
I think I'm going to bring my laptop with me after all, so it will be much easier to communicate with all of you. I plan to regularly update this blog with pictures and details about my life in Thailand, so stop by often! And please write comments and send emails and pictures!
